Tayco | 2020
Halifax is a bold launch Tayco and for Fig40 - its category spanning scope repositions Tayco as a manufacturer with design intent.
Workplace design is in a state of flux with many interpretations of what a “private office” even is and how they are used. Our challenge was to design a product that can respond to the evolving and uncertain requirements of clients and designers while remaining relevant to more conventional applications, all the while with a product that can be made efficiently by Tayco at a competitive cost point.
The corresponding tables collection with “A” and “V” leg options, create a broad offering with a wide range of applications. Tables are at seated and standing height, integrate electrics and can be configured in long formats with a centre plinth for support and cable management.
Halifax is a system that reinterprets casegoods: It is flexible, with a clear identity and wide scope of application.
“The V leg is designed specifically to be used independently, without the need of beams or any other structure to stabilize it. Its form evolves from this functional starting point.
The A leg is designed to allow leg positioning right at the outer table edge. This allows for cleaner table to table linking, as well as desk formats maximizing leg space under the desk between legs.”
