Ancora is an outdoor table for corporate, commercial and public spaces.

Maglin were looking for a table that was standing height, for outdoor use and incorporated power in a seamless way.  It was also to be complementary to their existing product offering, work their existing material palette and ultimately open new markets and applications.

The power requirement was a central driver - delivering and distributing power in a table for outdoor use needed to be at the forefront of the conceptual work to ensure the result was seamless.

Being outside also required the top to offer adequate drainage and that presented an opportunity to create patterns and character not often available on tables for indoor use.

The result is a table that is at home outdoors as well as indoors, ideal for gathering in a variety of settings.  It is comprised of a structure that can support a top in multiple pieces and is supported by 2 “T” legs.  The legs can route power to the table top where it can then be distributed to the various ‘nodes’ around the edge of the top.  The leg is low profile at the feet to maximize usability, and it is also flush to the end of the table allowing multiple tables to be ganged together, with unified the finished configuration.
