Brig Lounge is a soft seating system developed to showcase the highly accomplished upholstery expertise that Nienkamper have delivered on for many years. It is also a seating system that responds to today’s workplaces.

The seats are generous in scale and easily separated with tables to allow a more natural physical distance without leaving a seat empty. This allows for configurations for people to create their own distance from others, without feeling that they are being exclusionary. 

The introduction of shallow angles in layout enables varied levels of privacy within a single piece of furniture as well as more dynamic compositions.

A mobile stool further augments the system to support collaboration and a casual ‘drop-by’ at any physical distance people might be comfortable with.  

The seats are constructed to facilitate 2 seating gestures: when reclining and sitting at the rear of the seat the sit is very compliant, much like a traditional lounge sofa.  Conversely when sitting forward in a more active position for conversation or work, the seat is much firmer, elevating the sitter slightly and promoting a more active posture.  A freestanding table, untethered to the sofa offers a surface to work at.

Power is available in a variety of ways, from a discreet integrated point at the ends of beams to integration in any table surface.

An intelligent and robust understructure allows for seats with and without backs, seats facing opposite directions and an infinite array of lengths.
